We adopted Iris after 7 years without a dog, and little did I know how much she would change us. I fell in love with her wonky ears and googly eyes-I have a soft spot for a misfit. She was a bunny killer, and known for her epic derp faces. She may not have been the easiest dog, but she taught us how to work through challenges and love a dog for everything they ARE, instead of what they AREN’T. She inspired us to begin volunteering, and fostering, and she would become the best foster sister to 13 JRs dogs. Iris fell suddenly ill with a neurological issue in August of 2020, and we had to say goodbye. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. (shown with her JRs alum Bro Buddy, fka Baylin)
