Ebony “Dog” Peterson passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on April 5th, 2023. Ebony was adopted by Stephen and Melissa Peterson when their only child at the time was just one month old. The Peterson family was looking for a quiet, already potty trained dog and Ebony matched that profile perfectly! She was very shy when they went to visit her, not wanting to come close for a treat but opened up to them quickly when she realized this would be her permanent home. Two and a half years after Ebony was brought home, a daughter was born to the Peterson household and Ebony adapted well to the new human face. She picked no favorites among the four of us, always obeying whoever commanded her to come to them or take food from them. She would never eat until we said the words “ok, go ahead” and absolutely loved gravy meals! Her favorite things to do outside included chasing squirrels, playing fetch with a tennis ball, and running along side us on a special dog leash attached to Stephen or Melissa’s bike. Ebony was 14 years old when she passed away. She lived a good life and was loved by everyone who meet her. Thank you so much from the bottom of our heart JR Pups N Stuff for choosing the Peterson household to adopt her! We’d say she was the best dog ever, but I’m sure all families say that about their dogs!
